As part of our work with the other MA Design students for Design Research 2, we were asked to create posters to explain and showcase the things we had been working on so far; these were then displayed in the MA Design room for constructive critique across all of the design disciplines.
We were given a template with strict guidelines regarding layout, fonts and word counts which I found difficult to work with as a creative person, since it limited my ability to show my work in a fun and exciting way.
On my poster I also discussed what my plans were for Semester 3 in vague detail - kind of like the Learning Agreement I wrote last semester. I tried to separate the document into sections such as my rationale (reason for choosing the topic), the process of creating my protagonist and giving her context in terms of game environments and a character family. Below is the document I created and put on display yesterday:
